Nigeria: Police arrests man with human parts hidden in bags of gari




The Delta State Police Command, has arrested a 45-year-old suspected ritualist and member of a kidnapping gang, Felix Nnalu Chibogwu with human body parts.
Chibogwu, was arrested in Abavo with human parts stored in jerrycans in which he poured a preservative fluid.
Spokesperson of the Command, Andrew Aniamaka, disclosed that the jerrycans were concealed in two bags of gari.
Aniamaka said the suspect is a member of a syndicate operating in Amai area of the state, adding that he was arrested while attempting to flee to Lagos.
In a terse statement, Aniamaka said, “The arrest is connected to the investigation of cases of missing persons in the intractable land disputes between Umuebu/Amai/Eziokpo/Obiaruku communities in Ukwuani area.
“In his possession, we found, concealed in two bags of gari, two four-litre jerry cans stocked with substances suspected to be human parts in a preservative fluid. The investigation is ongoing to unravel other members of the syndicate.”
