13 injured after RTD bus, several vehicles involved in accident in Boulder

An RTD and several vehicles were involved in an accident on Wednesday morning that injured 13 people, officials said.
The crash happened just after 9 a.m. on Arapahoe Avenue between 63rd and 75th streets, near where a BNSF Railway train derailed on Tuesday afternoon, the Boulder Police Department said.
The Rocky Mountain Fire Department said 13 people suffered minor injuries because of the crash.

The bus was seen hanging off the side of a sidewalk on its side.
Police closed a two-mile stretch of Arapahoe Avenue between 63rd and 75th because of the crash. Eastbound lanes reopened about 10:30 a.m. There was no estimate for when the eastbound lanes would reopen.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
