Record Producer and Rapper, Paul Nuamah Donkor, known as Jayso in showbiz, has revealed he will not feature in a diss song, a type of rap music composed to mock or insult another rapper.
His comment comes after many industry players claimed he had betrayed EL (Elom Adablah) by featuring on Sarkodie’s ‘Bossy’ track which they believe had lyrics that took swipes at EL.
EL and Jayso were once colleagues on the Skillions Record label.
Although Jayso produced the beat for the track ‘Bossy’, he disclosed to Joy News’ MzGee that featuring on a diss song would be contradictory to what he stands for, dismissing the critics.
“I would not jump on a song that has Sark or anybody dissing any other person. It is against my brand, it is against what I do. I can understand if it is the same old subliminal shots that everyone has been taking since rap started.”
The rapper who has worked with big shots locally and internationally including Wyclef Jean, Tuface Idibia, Sway amongst others released ‘Preach’ which many believe was a diss song against Manifest, in the wake of the controversies between Sarkodie and Manifest.
Jayso revealed he is one of the producers on Manifest’s yet to be released album.
