Kwaw Kese explains why he named latest album, “Forever”

Fante rapper, Kwaw Kese has stated that his latest and sixth album, “Forever” is dedicated to his late manager, Fennec Okyere.
Kwaw Kese in an interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, Wednesday, said he decided to name the album ‘Forever’ because he believes the legacy of Fennec, who was his friend and manager for a long time, will live forever.
“The album has songs we did from 2012 to date. We selected twenty from the lot for the fans. The album is the biggest album to come out of Ghana for a long time. It’s historic. I chose ‘Forever’ because I feel we have been in the game for a long time and that means we are not quitting. Also, the album is dedicated to my late manager, Fennec Okyere which means Fennec’s legacy will live forever,” he told host, KMJ.
It would be recalled that Kwaw Kese in an interview with Graphic Showbiz indicated that he was still grappling with the loss and was having an emotional difficulty over a decision to replace the late Fennec, who was his manager for a long time.
“I want to use this opportunity to emphasise that, I have not replaced Fennec Okyere. He is irreplaceable; neither do I have plans of getting a permanent manager now. I am still mourning my brother and friend. When I make up my mind on which path to take, I will let my fans know, but right now, I am not looking or scouting for a manager,” he had said.
Fennec Okyere, was found dead at his Manet Gardens residence on March 13, 2014. Reports suggest that he was stabbed by some unknown assailant(s).
The album signing comes off on March 12 at Silverbird Cinema Foyer, Weija at 11am.
